Project overview

I am a first-generation Mexican MArch graduate, and my foundation, (my father and mother) grew up without a secure living space, moving from run down apartments to emergency shelters in Mexico and the U.S. I learned throughout my childhood to not take a living space for granted, but instead I aspire to make economically accessible living spaces, and community spaces for those in need. This house was designed by an architect and informally constructed by my uncles, my father, and friends of friends, add-on rooms were constructed, and many generations of Flores were grown in this house. However, there were times were my family didn't have a secure place to live with substantial space for them.
